Oxygen, Is the life for almost every living organism on the earth or in the water bodies. Now a days in intensive or super intensive shrimp culture, dissolved oxygen demand is decidedly high. The maintenance of dissolved oxygen will determine aquatic animal health and survival rate as well as good production in aquaculture. At the time of molting period, shrimps require more oxygen. The shrimps will get more stress when the dissolve oxygen levels reaches to low. The pond dissolved oxygen levels became low, When the weather conditions are poor like cloudy conditions or like rainy weather or like more atmospheric moisture conditions could also drop the dissolved oxygen levels dangerously to low. When the oxygen levels became low the shrimp will become weak & decrease survival rate & also reduce productivity from the pond.
